Chris Barnes - Vocals
Terry Butler - Bass
Greg Gall - Drums
Steve Swanson - Guitars

Launched in 1995, SIX FEET UNDER, was originally conceived as a side
project by then Cannibal Corpse lead throat Chris Barnes along with Obituary
guitarist Allen West, Death's Terry Butler and drummer Greg Gall. Chris'
departure from Cannibal Corpse that same year expedited the bands rapid
evolution beyond a one-off Death Metal super group into the world's most
respected name in extreme music. The combination of speedy riffs, down
tuned groove and lyrics inspired by the horrors of the mind and the world at
large had established SFU internationally as the reigning, if not, most feared
Death Metal act.

In 1998, guitarist Steve Swanson of the seminal Death Metal act Massacre,
joined the fold replacing West. His contribution would mark a significantturning
point. And with the release of 1999's Maximum Violence , the world beyond
Metal took notice. Tours with Danzig and a stint on the 2000 Vans Warped
Tour
(an honor usually reserved for the Punk Rock elite) followed, making
Maximum Violence their most successful release to date.

SIX FEET UNDER are quite possibly one of the most important bands that Metal
has delivered, and True Carnage , the band's fourth full length, will be the most
important record extreme Metal will see. As groundbreaking as it is compelling,
the aggressive attack and guttural rage of Chris Barnes is real,
not the concoction of market research and focus groups. It is a band that was
built from the underground up, something that is truly missing from the current
state of here today gone tomorrow overblown corporate metal acts. SIX FEET
UNDER leaves the posturing and pseudo aggression to lesser bands.

True Carnage also features contributions from ICE-T of BODY COUNT on One
Bullet Left , a song that may be only true successor to Cop Killer and Karyn
Crisis of the cult New York act CRISIS on sick and twisted. Also included on the
CD is the uncensored video to The Day The Dead Walked ,
which may very well be the perfect marriage between George Romero's Day of
the Dead and Heavy Metal, complete with flesh eating zombies. Album art was
created by world renown tattoo artist Paul Booth, who was a major focal point on
last years Tattoo The Earth festival.
